Rosa R. Orenstein has deep experience and a successful record in representing clients in bankruptcy (creditor and debtor), banking, secured transactions, and commercial law matters.
She has successfully handled workouts and the restructuring of debt outside of bankruptcy on behalf of her clients that range from banks and financial institutions to medical facilities, trucking, retail, printing, medical, and manufacturing companies. Ms. Orenstein's reputation and skillful workout experience during the last 30 plus years has helped many of her clients arrive at fair and reasonable solutions without the attendant costs of a full court proceeding.
Ms. Orenstein began her career at Gardere & Wynne in Dallas, where she became the first minority partner in the firm's history. Following her 10 years with the firm, she started her own practice, Orenstein and Associates, P.C.
Born In Cíudad Júarez, Chihuahua, Mexico, Ms. Orenstein is active in several professional and civic groups. Her professional memberships include the State Bar of Texas where she just concluded a six year term as a member of the Continuing Legal Education Committee, Dallas Bar Association and its Bankruptcy Section where she was a former chair, and the Dallas Hispanic Bar Association. She also is a Fellow with the Dallas Bar Foundation and a member of the Bar Association of the Fifth Federal Circuit.
Ms. Orenstein served on the Ursuline Academy of Dallas Board of Trustees, the Hispanic 100 where she was the former chairperson of the board, and the Dallas Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, where she previously served as director and secretary.
